While winter in Michigan can be fun for some people, others not so much. Many people dread the cold, and if your car heater is not working, it can make the experience even worse. If your vehicle stops blowing warm air, it can be due to any of the following mechanical issues: Damaged Thermostat A faulty thermostat is one of the most prevalent causes of heater failure. It may be stuck open or closed, and either way, the damage can extend to the engine's cooling system. Low Antifreeze The second most common problem is low antifreeze. When your coolant levels diminish, it won't be able to move towards the heater core, and thus, your cabin remains cold. It also puts your vehicle at risk of overheating.
